About the Instructor
Hi! I'm Erica Schmitz, the founder and lead instructor at Illustrated Style School. You may know me as the founder of MyBodyModel, a website that creates printable & digital fashion sketchbooks based on your measurements.
All these years later, I still love to play paper dolls with my sewing plans! When MyBodyModel became part of Cashmerette in 2023, I knew I wanted to continue spreading the joy of designing garments and outfits on a croquis of your own body.
My body-positive drawing classes & style workshops are designed to help you build a wardrobe that embraces your beautiful uniqueness, inside and out. No more trying to fit into outdated cookie cutter notions of what our bodies “should” look like! You can hear all about my journey on the Love to Sew Podcast, Sew & Tell, Coffee with Makers, Sew News, Seamwork, & Sew Mindful.
I have lots of fun plans for Illustrated Style School in the year ahead. Be sure to sign up for updates and stay in the loop!
